I met Maryia almost a year ago as she was planning for her and Neil’s wedding day. They had recently gotten engaged and in hearing about their engagement story, I could immediately tell that they were a match made in heaven – both laid back, caring and joyful, family-oriented, effortless in making each other laugh, and completely in love with each other. I just knew their wedding day would be one of a kind.
As their wedding day approached, the forecast showed 80%+ chance of rain….all day long. In true Maryia & Neil fashion, the couple gladly pivoted to an indoor ceremony, bought TONS of clear umbrellas (pro-tip for your wedding day if you’re a future bride!), and embraced an old saying, calling it a sign of good luck. The most important part of the day was joining one another in marriage and no amount of rain could stop that!
Their family and friends watched as they exchanged vows and rings, were pronounced husband and wife, and they exited the barn as Husband & Wife. The rain briefly paused for outdoor portraits which was perfectly timed, and they danced the night away with their closest loved ones. A few highlights from their reception included a live-action Footloose performance, a cookie display for dessert-lovers, an extremely entertaining DJ (shout-out to you, my friend!), a sweet anniversary dance and shoe game with the couple, night-time outdoor flash photos… in the rain (it was magical!), and the sweetest sparkler send-off. It was truly a day to remember!
Maryia & Neil – It was such a joy to capture your wedding day and I wish you all the best in this next adventure together!
Enjoy a few of my many, many favorites!
