The wedding that I’m sharing today is an extra special one and I’m SO excited for you to see it. Erica + Robbie chose the Stuart Farmer’s Market because of it’s small-town charm and stunning mountain views. If you’ve never driven through Patrick County, this scenic wedding is sure to put it on your bucket list.
I met Erica in high school and when she reached out to me about her wedding, I was OVERJOYED. Not only is Erica the most beautiful, kind soul, the opportunity to capture my hometown is really one that’s hard to put in words. After meeting Robbie during their engagement session, I could tell that they were the perfect pair – both successful and supportive of each other’s careers, humble, and yet silly enough keeping each other laughing the entire time. Talk about my dream couple!
Erica and Robbie’s vision for their wedding day was to showcase the beauty of their hometown and every single detail reflected that. From their location choices down to their cake and wine, each hand-picked detail was locally inspired and a perfect representation of the loving community that surrounds them. Speaking of cake, their gorgeous wedding cake, made by Lora Mahaffey (Bull Mountain Arts) featured real, locally grown flowers that were hand-pressed and dried – bonus: they were edible as well!
While I crave another slice of Lora’s cake and a glass of Stanburn Winery’s Meadow Breeze, swoon with me through a glimpse of Erica + Robbie’s wedding day. One that will surely go down as one of the most beautiful weddings those Blue Ridge mountains have seen yet. Enjoy!
