Melissa & Chance’s wedding was a DREAM! From arriving at their ceremony on horseback to being escorted down the aisle by their daughters – this day was a real-life fairytale and one, certainly, for the books!
I met Melissa at a mutual friend’s wedding last fall and my first thought was ‘wow, she is so beautiful!”. She had a kind smile, welcoming demeanor, and an even sweeter heart. When she reached out to me for photography for her wedding, I was ecstatic. The more the details came together for this day, I KNEW this was going to be a wedding for the fairytale books!
The day started as most wedding days do, with hair & makeup and friends & loved ones all around. The moment I walked into Rachel’s Place, I couldn’t help but notice how joyful and relaxed everyone was. In looking around the venue, it was filled with custom-made, symbolic and sentimental aspects of the life that Chance and Melissa have created together – from Melissa’s leather bouquet holder to Chance’s custom made leather vest. There were so many elements of the day that reflected their special bond and hobbies together including the way that they entered their reception – both on horseback! The ceremony was officiated by Melissa’s long-time best-friend, Shaina, and their venue, Rachel’s Place, provided a stunning backdrop of rolling hills, rustic barns, hay bales, and a picturesque mountainscape – a true slice of heaven. To top all of those charming details, Melissa had not one, but two, first looks with the first being with her two daughters. Talk about a tear-jerker moment!
I could ramble on and on about how perfect, heartwarming, and unique this entire day was but when I say it was a fairytale, it really was. Just see for yourself!
